Sizing
Server & hosting sizing
Hardware and hosting recommendations based on your actual player count and addon stack, not a generic "more cores" answer.
Garry's Mod servers don't scale the way most hardware sales pitches suggest. A large part of the engine simply can't make use of extra CPU cores, which is why heavy addon setups (Wiremod, ACF, complex roleplay frameworks) can bog a server down no matter how much hardware you throw at it. "Buy a bigger CPU" is often the wrong answer - and counterintuitively, so is "turn the tick rate up."
We size your server and hosting choice against your actual player count, performance targets, and addon stack, including hard limits that don't show up until you hit them and then cause real problems.
- Hardware and hosting-tier recommendation based on your real workload, not generic specs
- Tick-rate and physics tuning guidance for your specific server
- Headroom check against hard engine limits for prop-heavy or entity-heavy gamemodes
A hosting-tier recommendation, not a ranking of providers.
Illustrative example tiers, not a quote for any specific server - every engagement is sized individually.
