Garry's Mod content pack optimization
Cut Garry's Mod join-time bloat: Workshop collections, addon consolidation, and delivery for content outside Workshop.
A new player's first impression of a server is often the join screen, not the game itself, and that's dominated by how much has to download before they can play. We audit your server's addon collection, then rebuild it into a leaner set of consolidated content packs: trimming duplicate or oversized files, merging scattered collections into a couple of properly organized packs - each with a clear description of what it contains - and making sure everything downloads the way it's supposed to.
This is packaging and delivery work, not a promise of a specific download-time number - we haven't found a credible, publicly benchmarked figure for this, and we won't invent one. What we can commit to is a smaller, cleaner, better-organized addon stack than what most servers accumulate after years of ad hoc installs.
- Audit of the current addon collection for redundant, duplicate, or oversized files
- Consolidation into a couple of well-organized content packs, each with a written description of its contents
- Recommendation on FastDL versus Workshop delivery for your hosting and addon mix
- Ongoing content pack maintenance as your addon stack changes
